How to Use The Paint Application

This simple paint application allows you to upload an image and sample a selection of our paint colours using simple virtual paint tools. To begin navigate to the Upload Image tool by selecting the Upload Image tool in the tool bar at the bottom of the app. The upload image section will open. Once there proceed to upload, save your image and exit. You may now paint on your selected image using the Paint Tool which is selected by default or the Polygon Tool. To change the colour select the Colour Selection tool and tap or click your preferred colour. Your chosen colour will be visible in the tool bar, directly at the top of the selection page, below the paint canvas and in the tool bar (see key in image below). Exit the Colour Selection tool and resume painting or using the Polygon Tool to fill your selection.

Using the Brush Tool

After you have selected the colour the default tool that will be activated is the paint tool. You may also select the Paint Tool by clicking or tapping on the section shown in the key below. You may change the size of the paint brush by selecting an option from the Brush Size Tool drop down. To change the type of brush select the round or square option from the drop down. Once you have chosen the preferred settings resume painting. To erase unwanted painted strokes click or tap the eraser option and erase the desired area. *Using the Eraser Tool while the Paint Tool is active will not remove any polygons created on the canvas.

Using the Polygon Tool

The polygon tool will automatically be filled with the current input. Select the number of points you would like to use to create a polygon from options 3 - 7. Click or tap each area of the canvas you would like to fill and the tool will create a filled section with your chosen colour. To ensure optimal results always complete the respective number of clicks to properly fill the polygon and reduce the risk of unintended behaviour. To remove the polygon(s) select the eraser option and draw over the area you would like to remove by selecting the respective number of points over the area you would like to remove, once done the area will be cleared from the canvas. *Using the Eraser Tool while the Polygon Tool is active will only remove polygons but not paint strokes.

Colour Intensity

Adjust the richness of selected paint colour by using the Coat/Colour Intensity Tool. Choose from a selection of Light, Medium and Heavy.

Clear All Paint Strokes and Polygons.

Select the Refresh tool option to erase all polygons and paint strokes. Alternatively refresh the entire page and reload the app.

Save Your Image

To save your results use any screen-shot program to capture and save to your device.
