What are
Waterproofing Compounds?
Waterproofing Compounds are specially formulated
liquids or putties that are applied directly to surfaces to protect
them from water damage. They may also be placed on surfaces that have
already begun to show signs of deterioration.
What types of
waterproofing solutions does Diamond Paint currently offer?
We provide three primary types of waterproofing
solutions for large and small scale projects:
Diamond Waterproofing Compound is a white resin-rich
liquified rubberized material which is applied in multiple coats at
100 square feet per gallon. It provides immediate waterproofing once
it has set and enables additional insulation to roofing
structures. There are many advantages to using our high-quality
waterproofing compound including:
1. It is a ready to use liquid latex - no heating, mixing or solvents
for clean-up.
2. It is fully bonded - adheres tightly to surface, wind resistant, no
fastening required, no ballast needed.
3. It is flexible and elastic - 400% elongation, stays. flexible,
won’t dry and crack from exposure, moves with expansion.
4. It reduces heat build-up and is highly reflective of sunlight thus
ceilings and roofs stay cooler.
5. It is versatile - it conforms to any shape or configuration and
adheres to asphalt, metal and masonry.
6. It may be applied to damp surfaces and will dry in the presence of
moisture.
Diamond Waterproof Putty is a flexible water
resistant compound that may be used on most surfaces for sealing,
Waterproofing and/or as a flexible filler.
Diamond LVM
Damp Proofer is a non-toxic flexible solution for a wide range of
waterproofing, and vapour-proofing applications. There are several
advantages to using our Damp Proofer including:
1. It can be applied to wet surfaces.
2. It dries quickly.
3. It protects the area being quoted from Ultra
Violet Rays.
4. It bonds well to most surfaces.
5. It is non toxic.
6. It does not have a strong offensive odour.
7. It can be applied by brush roller or spray.
What waterproofing
solutions are ideal for my project?
The type of waterproofing solution that is necessary
for any project will depend on the area being coated. If the area is
virtually smooth and free of visible damage then Diamond LVM damp
proofer or Diamond Waterproofing Compound will be adequate. However,
if the area exhibits signs of distress as a result of cracks or other
forms of surface blemishes then Diamond Waterproofing Putty should be
applied to those sections initially to ensure that all areas are
properly sealed and made ready for additional waterproofing.
